SCADA RTU SYSTEMS

Turn-key SCADA cabinets to meet requirements of 1MW-5MW solar power plants by local utilities.

STAR ISLAND WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY

Star Island Electrical Power Generation System

Star Island is a perfect example of an Island Micro-grid.  This system is comprised of a 130 kW solar array, a 600 kWh battery bank, and two 80kW diesel generators.  While we did not design or install this system, we do provide auxiliary engineering and service support to its continued use.

Custom Designed 60KW Diesel Generator

Custom Designed 60KW Diesel Generator

This is one of the many different generator systems we have designed.  This is a 60Kw John Deere with full electronic control.  Three of these systems were purchased for use in spray foam insulation trucks.  Our units always come standard with full vibration mounting, oversized radiators, electronic controls and monitoring, Donaldson Air Filtration systems, and a Donaldson Exhaust system.

MT washington wastewater treatment facility upgrade

This wastewater treatment plant was originally designed for use on the Arctic Tundra, so its implementation on the summit of Mount Washington and surviving the winters is right in line with its design. Portside Systems was tasked with upgrading the aeration system and control within the membrane bioreactor.

Hydro-electric plant turbine generator service

This plant was put into operation in the early 1900s originally as a mill, as the industry changed they added more electric generation, the facility now has four turbines. Portside Systems was contracted to repair and test the Unit #2 vertical turbine. This unit was manufactured in 1932 which creates a need for understanding of the legacy alternator design and excitation systems. We performed coil and conductor meggering, polarization index test, surge comparison test, phase resistance test, and rotor air gap testing. We then re-assembled the unit and assisted operations with the startup.
